Dr.J. K. Kuan DC, LAcClinical Director of Prosperity Health Center
KDr. Kuan graduated with honors from Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCUHS) with a Doctor’s degree in Chiropractic and a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. There he received the Outstanding Service Award for his individual contributions to the college, made the Dean’s List, and was recognized by the California State Assembly for his steadfast commitment to the community and outstanding leadership in Traditional Asian Medicine and Health Sciences.
Dr. Kuan began his Acupuncture and Chiropractic career in San Diego and Santa Monica, California where he was working with a seasoned Chiropractor. From there he brought together many of the concepts of Traditional Chinese Medicine with modern Acupuncture and Chiropractic techniques for excellent healing and wellness. Since then, he has continued to build his reputation as a practitioner who is passionate about healing and providing care to those that find themselves in physical distress. After years of practice in California, Dr. Kuan pursued the opportunity to bring his clinical experience and healing techniques to the East Coast where he founded Prosperity Health Center.
Dr. J. K. Kuan is National Board Certified (NCCAOM) (NBCE) and a Licensed Chiropractic Physician and Acupuncturist in the State of New Jersey, New York and California. Currently he is also teaching at Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine. With years of clinical experience, Dr. Kuan has helped many people with varied conditions such as insomnia, food allergy, seasonal allergy, hypertension, migraine/headache, smoking addiction, obesity, PMS, dysmenorrhea/amenorrhea, infertility, pain syndrome (joint pain, tendonitis, LBP), I.B.S., anxiety/depression to name but a few.
After serving to various local cities, Dr. Kuan is now offering his service to the world through hosting world-wide healing retreats.
At CHY, Dr. offers Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Core Fusion and Prana Fusion classes.
Dr. Nancie CeliniYoga Instructor
Dr. Nancie Celini is an educator,
researcher, 500-hour certified yoga teacher registered with Yoga Alliance and yoga therapist. Her extensive background as a clinical research and public
health professional combined with her unique insights have helped people transform their health. She has been inspired in her own practice by scientists, medical professionals and master teachers in healthcare and yoga but is most inspired by her students and seeing
them grow, heal and feel better.
She is the founder of Just Breathe Yoga, a community-based program in NJ and developer of “Yoga for Change” a program to help professionals reimagine their work and connectedness to each other. Nancie has been a lifelong athlete and advocate for better health as a certified fitness trainer, martial artist and yoga teacher. She is co-developer of a unique continuing education program with her colleague in New York where they help yoga teachers cultivate new insights and skills across a wide range of topics. Nancie has a master’s degree and doctorate in public health. She brings a diverse knowledge base to help her students grow stronger and healthier through yoga combined with her passion for research and integrative medicine.
Toni B.Yoga Instructor
Toni Ann Benino, RYT- 200, was born and raised on Staten Island, New York. She is currently a full-time Special Education Teacher in NYC. Toni turned to yoga in 2014 and felt a deep and continual connection to the practice, which inspired her to pursue a YTT in 2016. Toni completed her 200HR YTT at Area Yoga in Brooklyn, New York. She began teaching shortly after, sharing her passion and personal transformation with others. Toni is passionately committed to the practice of yoga both on and off the mat. Throughout physical practices of yoga as well as daily life, she emphasizes the importance of keeping focus on the breath to connect the mind with the body in its present, physical state. Toni strongly encourages others to explore their inner beings, in order to better self-serve their own needs, and be more complete to attend to the needs of others. Since completing her training, Toni has adventured on yoga retreats to Jaco, Costa Rica and Ubud, Bali, Indonesia. She recently co-hosted her first yoga retreat in Cahuita, Costa Rica in July 2019. Toni speaks wholeheartedly of allotting time for self-study in parts of the world that are unlike one’s comfort zone, and alongside like-minded individuals. She has experienced countless and endless benefits through yoga, and is deeply inspired by sharing her knowledge and love of the practice with those ready to begin or continue their own inner journey.
Paul GYoga Instructor
Paul completed his yoga teacher training at the Sivananda Yoga Ranch Ashram in 2017. More recently he has been studying Qi Gong and Tai Chi with Dr. Kuan, while composing music to accompany the class sequence. Paul teaches classical Hatha Yoga as well as adaptive classes and Tai Chi.
Nicole SantostefanoCertified Yoga Instructor
Nicole has a passion for yoga and has been practicing yoga for about 18 years. Nicole became certified in Power Yoga in 2017 and received her 200 hour yoga teacher training certification in 2019. Nicole teaches modified yoga and chair yoga to children with special needs. She also teaches Hatha yoga and restorative yoga to individuals of all abilities. Nicole believes that yoga is an important aspect of any wellness program as it helps students achieve physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Nicole is a pediatric occupational therapist. She works as an occupational therapist at the Schroth School at LADACIN Network. LADACIN Network (Lifetime Assistance for Developmental and Challenging Individual Needs), formerly known as Cerebral Palsy of Monmouth and Ocean Counties, is a non-profit agency in Wanamassa, New Jersey. Nicole is a graduate of the Nathan Weiss Graduate College of Kean University, where she received a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy. Nicole lives in Manalapan, New Jersey. She has two children and enjoys spending time with her family. Nicole has a deep love for animals and cares for her three dogs and two rabbits. Nicole's hobbies include yoga and meditation, walking her dogs, and taking fitness classes. Nicole enjoys reading spiritual texts and attends yoga and spiritual retreats on a regular basis.
Dylan GriebellCertified Yoga Instructor
Dylan began his Yoga journey in 2017 and immediately felt a deep connection to the practice. This inspired him to pursue and complete his YTT-200hr in February 2019. He immediately started teaching weekly classes at the YMCA of Greater Monmouth County and the local Office on Aging. He is certified in Chair Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Vinyasa Yoga which allows him to expand his teachings to all different levels and ages of practitioners. His classes focus on coordinating movement with breath to create space where you were once stuck, to unveil the layers of protection you've built around your heart, to appreciate your body and become aware of the mind and the noise it creates; giving students the opportunity to achieve optimum physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. By practicing Yoga as a whole, which includes living a Yogic lifestyle, you can become truly happy and fulfilled in the core of your being. Healing the mind, body and soul one asana at a time.

Yoga has been a part of my life for over 19 years, and my practice has helped me grow stronger and more flexible, in yoga practice and in life. Yoga taught me to be accepting and in tune with ourselves. It inspires me to enjoy each moment & be content. I try to define myself around eight limbs of yoga. With an extensive background in yoga, you would think it would be really easy to teach others. But it did not take me long to realize that each individual is unique & you have to customize yoga for their bodies not vice versa. It is not one solution fits everyone. Yoga is being one with yourself, when we realize that, we can enjoy the state of bliss. I am here to guide others discover that happiness which is nowhere outside but within us, each one of us. “Yoga for People not People for Yoga” is my motto. And it gives me the sense of fulfillment in making everyone feel like they belong. That is true joy. My classes are fun, interactive, Heartful & challenging as per student’s need. Main focus in my class is on Breathing, Connection with Heart, and correct alignment. I customize my classes and sequences according to age group, individual flexibility, strength & limitation. My day starts with Yoga & Meditation. When I am not Practicing you will find me painting, crafting, quilling, learning with kids and all sorts of creative thinking. I love interacting with people and enjoy their company. I think of it as a learning experience of life.
